Mangaluru: Dr. Rashma Mohith Shetty, a Kannadiga naturopathy doctor based in Mulund, Mumbai, has been crowned Mrs India – Season 15 (2025) at the grand finale held from December 18 to 21 at the historic Jai Bagh Palace, Jaipur. The prestigious national-level event was organised by Deepali Fadnis, National Director, Mrs India.
Mrs India is one of the most reputed and long-running beauty pageants in the country. Forty finalists selected from across India competed over four days and were evaluated through multiple rounds including talent, inspirational life story presentation, personal interview, ramp walk, national costume, traditional round and evening gown round. The organisers stated that Dr. Rashma Shetty’s confidence, dedication and all-round excellence on the national stage earned her the coveted crown.
Earlier, Dr. Rashma Shetty was the First Runner-Up at Mrs India Karnataka 2024, where she also won several special awards, including Best Performance in the Talent Round, Best Ramp Walk, and First Prize in the Best Task (Short Film) category. She was also the First Runner-Up at the prestigious Mrs India Karnataka Mangaluru competition, held on May 19 at Kadri Park, Mangaluru, and at the Akanksha Mrs Bunts 2023 competition organised by the Bunts Association Mumbai Youth Wing.
Dr. Rashma Shetty is the daughter of Naryaguttu Raghunath Shetty and Amturu Balike Kasturi Shetty, wife of Mohith Shetty, and mother to a seven-year-old daughter, Nesara. She is the daughter-in-law of Moodubettu Housamane Manohar Shetty (Ainac Optics, Katapadi) and late Mamata Shetty, former President of the Mulund Bunts Mahila Vibhag. She was brought up in Pononiya of Munduru village, Puttur, and is presently serving as a medical professional in Mumbai.

Alongside her medical career and role as a homemaker, Dr. Rashma Shetty is actively involved in social service. She serves as the Committee Secretary of the Mulund Hills Inner Wheel Club, where she has conducted several live seminars on women’s health and lifestyle disorders. She also works as a guest lecturer at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Naturopathy, Navi Mumbai.
Academically, she completed her primary and secondary education at Papemajalu Government School, followed by Pre-University education at Government College, Kombettu, Puttur. She earned her degree in Naturopathy from Alva’s College, Moodubidri, securing second rank at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, and was declared the Best Student of her college. A state-level athlete and throwball player, she is also an active member of the Mulund Bunts Mahila Vibhag.
Adding to her multifaceted achievements, Dr. Rashma Shetty won the Best Actress – First Prize at the State-level “Dr. Shivarama Karanth Theatre Festival – 2024”, held on June 8, 2024, at Bunts Bhavana, Kurla, Mumbai. The award was for her performance in the play “Swami Koragajja”, directed by Baba Prasad Aras and presented by the Kala Spandana Mumbai team. The festival was organised by Karnataka Sangha Andheri (Reg.) and Kannada Kala Kendra, Mumbai, with the support of the Karnataka Border Area Development Authority.
