Belagavi: The Dreams on Wheels campaign, undertaken by former journalist Srinivasan Nandagopal with the aim of motivating students of government schools across Karnataka, received a major boost with the Karnataka State Commissioner for Scouts and Guides and former Home Minister, Mr. P. G. R. Sindhia, extending official support to the initiative.
The assurance came during preparations for the 29th State Jamboree of Scouts and Guides, scheduled to be held at Phoenix Public School in Honaga village of Belagavi district. Appreciating the concept, Mr. Sindhia lauded the effort to reach out to Class 10 students of government schools and motivate them to prepare confidently for their forthcoming board examinations. He also instructed state-level functionaries of the Scouts and Guides to extend cooperation by helping identify schools in districts covered under the campaign.

Addressing the meeting, Srinivasan Nandagopal explained that Dreams on Wheels is a statewide journey undertaken on his Honda CB350 motorcycle. So far, he has covered over 1,600 kilometres across five districts-Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi – interacting with more than 3,000 students. In the next phase, the campaign will cover Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), Bidar and Raichur.
The Dreams on Wheels campaign was formally launched on November 24 in Mangaluru and continues to gain momentum as it travels across the state, inspiring students to pursue their academic goals with confidence and determination.
