Mangaluru : The premises of MCC Bank Ltd were aglow with festive lights and vibrant smiles as the Bank family gathered to celebrate Deepavali 2025 on 21st October at the Administrative Office in Mangalore. Organized by the Bank’s management, the event radiated enthusiasm and joy, bringing together dignitaries, staff members, customers, and their families in a colourful celebration of unity, culture, and festivity.
The programme was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank, and graced by esteemed chief guests Mr Prathap Singh Thorat, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Mangaluru Central Sub-Division, and Ms Nazma Farooq, ACP, Mangaluru City Traffic Division.
The evening began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and goodness over adversity. The lamp was lit by Chief Guest Ms Nazma Farooq alongside Chairman Shri Anil Lobo, marking the auspicious start of the celebrations. Customers were invited to light diyas from the main lamp, spreading light and positivity throughout the venue.
In his presidential address, Shri Anil Lobo expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, noting that Deepavali is more than a festival of lights—it is a celebration of unity, gratitude, and renewal. He commended MCC Bank employees for their dedication and thanked customers for their continued trust and support.

Reflecting this ethos, Deepavali was celebrated simultaneously across all MCC Bank branches in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, showcasing the Bank’s strong cultural values and deep connection with the communities it serves. Shri Anil Lobo concluded by wishing everyone a joyous, peaceful, and prosperous Deepavali, reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to growth with values.
Ms Nazma Farooq expressed delight at being part of the Bank’s festive celebrations. She praised MCC Bank’s management and leadership, noting that she had “always heard only good things about MCC Bank” from the public. Using the platform, she also raised awareness on traffic safety, urging citizens to follow rules responsibly to make Mangaluru safer. She congratulated the Bank for its consistent service excellence and extended heartfelt Deepavali wishes to the Bank, its customers, and their families.
Delivering his address, Mr Prathap Singh Thorat conveyed warm Deepavali greetings to the Board members, customers, staff, and their families, lauding MCC Bank’s commitment to ethical banking, community service, and financial integrity.
The event was compered by Mr Alwyn Dsouza, Accountant, Founders Branch, who also welcomed attendees and proposed the vote of thanks. The Board of Directors, General Manager, staff members, and customers attended, adding to the festive spirit. As Deepavali lights illuminated the venue, they reflected not just the joy of the festival, but the collective strength and values that define MCC Bank.
All branches of MCC Bank in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts joined in the celebrations simultaneously, marking the occasion with unity, joy, and festive fervour across the region.
